Eduardo G. Ursini was an Argentine journalist and screenwriter who worked for the newspaper Crítica in the 1920s, focusing on athletics. As president of the Argentine Athletic Federation in 1932, he secured a special permit for Juan Carlos Zabala to compete in the Los Angeles Olympic Games. He later became the Director of Sports for Buenos Aires. In 1939, he wrote his first screenplay based on true events and directed the film 'Los ojazos de mi negra' in 1940. He also composed the tango 'Candilejas' and the march 'Paso al deporte.'
