Edmund Martin (1910-2003) was an Estonian film director, born in Pärnu. He studied at Pärnu Boys' Gymnasium and later at the University of Vienna, specializing in film. He contributed to the development of Estonian cinema in the 1930s and was notable for his expertise. After World War II, he worked in the U.S., creating films addressing Estonian refugees. In New York, Martin established the Estonian Film Center and produced several films, including the comedy 'Seitse vihta'. He also worked in design and published books and song lyrics, showcasing his multifaceted talents.
