Edith Nielsine Weide (1912-1982) was a Danish esperantist born in Arhuzo. She learned Esperanto through a course led by her future husband, August Weide, whom she married in 1937. After relocating to Hamburg in 1948 with her two children, she became a prominent figure in the Hamburg Esperanto Society, eventually serving as its first female president in 1966. She was a dedicated educator, leading Esperanto courses in Denmark and significantly contributing to the Esperanto community.
