Edith Kotka-Nyman was an Estonian language teacher, textbook author, and cultural figure in Sweden. Born in Tallinn, she fled to Sweden with her parents in 1944. She studied at Stockholm University, focusing on art history and French. Kotka-Nyman taught Estonian as a mother tongue in Swedish schools and wrote language textbooks. In her later years, she directed the Estonia Committee's office and library and served on the board of the Estonian Cultural Association in Sweden while also teaching Estonian language courses.
