Edi Ponoš is a Croatian male javelin thrower born on April 10, 1976. He excelled in his sport with a personal best throw of 77.95 metres, recorded in June 2004 in Ljubljana. Ponoš won a bronze medal at the 2001 Mediterranean Games and participated in the 2004 Olympic Games, though he did not reach the finals. He secured the title of Croatian javelin throw champion five times between 2001 and 2006. After a serious motorcycle accident in June 2009, he recovered and returned to light training by September of the same year.
