Eddy De Clercq, known as EDC, is a Flemish-Dutch DJ and producer born on October 18, 1955, in Ghent. He is regarded as one of the pioneers of Dutch dance culture. In 1999, he was awarded the prestigious Gouden Harp by the Buma Cultuur Foundation in recognition of his significant contributions to Dutch light music and his groundbreaking role at the Amsterdam club RoXY in the development of the Dutch dance scene.
