Eckart Preu is a renowned conductor, born on August 24, 1969, in East Germany. A child prodigy, he was a member and soloist of the Boys Choir Dresdner Kreuzchor. He holds a master’s degree in Conducting from the Hochschule für Musik in Weimar and studied further in Paris. Preu has been the Music Director of various symphonies, including the Portland Symphony Orchestra and the Spokane Symphony. He is also an accomplished guest conductor, performing with several orchestras and artists internationally, and contributes articles to local newspapers.
