Eberhard Finke (May 19, 1920 - July 29, 2016) was a renowned German cellist. He studied at the Berlin Music Academy and the Salzburg Mozarteum, under notable teachers like Ludwig Hoelscher and Enrico Mainardi. Finke was a founding member of 'Die 12 Cellisten der Berliner Philharmoniker' and served as their principal cellist from 1950 to 1985. In addition to his performance career, he became a professor at the University of the Arts Berlin in 1969, contributing greatly to music education.
