Earl William Gill (14 October 1932 – 4 May 2014) was an accomplished Irish trumpet-player and bandleader known for his work with the group Hoedowners. They notably secured fourteen Top 20 hits in the Irish music charts from 1966 to 1973. Additionally, under the stage name 'Tim Pat', he released a solo novelty hit called 'Poor Poor Farmer' in 1971. His contributions made a significant impact on the Irish music scene during the 1960s and early 1970s.
