Dymitr, born Nodar Shota Shiolashvili on February 16, 1961, is a prominent figure in the Georgian Orthodox Church currently serving as the Metropolitan of Batumi and Lazeti, and overseeing the parishes in North America and Canada. After being ordained a deacon in 1985 and a priest in 1986, he held multiple leadership roles within the church and has been recognized for his contributions to ecclesiastical education and community services. He was awarded the Order of St. George in 2007.
