Dwight E. Beach was an American officer who led U.S. forces in Korea during the Korean War from 1965 to 1966, and later commanded the U.S. Army in the Pacific from September 1966 to July 1968. Born on July 20, 1908, he served in the artillery branch and participated in World War II in the Pacific Theater, taking part in four amphibious assaults. He also served in the Korean War.
