Dragan Aleksandrić is a Serbian composer and arranger of folk songs, born on June 7, 1949, in Belgrade. He was the top student of the Military Music School in Zemun and worked with the Artistic Ensemble of the JNA from 1969 to 1984. Over a career spanning nearly fifty years, he has composed thousands of pieces for major names in former Yugoslav folk music and has frequently participated in juries for folk music festivals in Serbia. He lives and works in Belgrade.
