Douglas Hoover is an American summer biathlete born on March 2, 1972. He competes for the Pennsylvania Biathlon Club and began his competitive career in fall 1992. Hoover achieved his first top-ten result in national championships in 1996 and has since placed in the top ten in 12 more events. His notable victories include titles in sprint and mass start events from 2006 to 2008. He participated in multiple World Championships starting in 2003, with his best results being 15th in the sprint at Forni Avoltri in 2003.
