Doug Hargreaves was a prominent Canadian air force officer and athletic coach who served as the head football coach for the Queen's Golden Gaels for 19 years. Under his leadership, the team made 16 consecutive OQIFC playoff appearances, clinching 9 out of 13 league championships, including two undefeated seasons. Hargreaves led the Gaels to three National Championship games, winning the Vanier Cup twice in 1978 and 1992. He was recognized as OQIFC Coach of the Year five times and earned the Frank Tindall Trophy as the best intercollegiate coach in Canada in 1983.
