Dmitry Alkhazov was a Soviet Armenian scientist known for his work in accelerator physics and technology. Born on February 17, 1909, in Saint Petersburg, he made significant contributions to the field as a physicist. He earned a Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences degree in 1959. Alkhazov was one of the founders of the synchrocyclotron at the Leningrad Institute of Nuclear Physics. He passed away on June 30, 1982, in Leningrad, Russian SFSR, USSR.
