Ding Shi'e, born Pan Yonghua on November 12, 1923, was a Chinese artist known for her performances in Huju, a form of Shanghai opera. She hailed from Wuxing, Zhejiang, and became a prominent figure in the art form as the founder of the 'Ding School' of Huju. Ding was acclaimed for her contributions to Chinese traditional music and theater before her death on July 9, 1988.
