Dimitar Georgiev Taskov, born in 1960 in Targovishte, is a hereditary ophthalmologist specializing in intraocular surgery. He trained in ophthalmology at the Medical University of Sofia in 1990. Taskov led the Eye Department in Targovishte for many years. He founded the 'Dr. Georgi Taskov' eye center in 1996, named after his father, and established the 'Luxor' ophthalmology clinic in Plovdiv in 2004. He is a leading expert in modern eye microsurgery, cataract surgery, glaucoma, children's eye diseases, and laser vision correction.
