Richard Edward Fenton-Smith was an Australian rules footballer born on 19 October 1931, who played for Melbourne in the VFL during the late 1950s. He was initially part of the Western Districts team that won the 1954 QANFL premiership before joining Ormond Amateur Football Club. In his debut season, he scored 18 of his 21 goals and contributed to two premiership victories with Melbourne. Later in 1960, he moved to Adelaide to play for Sturt in the SANFL, showcasing his versatility in multiple positions, including ruck and defense.
