Vice-Admiral Philip Dean McFadden, CMM, CD, born on July 12, 1957, is a retired Canadian Forces officer. He served as the chief of the Maritime Staff from 2009 to 2011, the last individual to hold this position before it was rebranded as the commander of the Royal Canadian Navy. McFadden's career in the military was marked by his leadership roles, culminating in significant responsibilities within the Canadian Navy.
