David William Anthony Blyth Macpherson, 2nd Baron Strathcarron (1924-2006), known as the 'motorcycling peer', was an influential figure in motor racing and road safety. Educated at Eton and Cambridge, he served in the RAF during WWII. He was a prominent motoring correspondent for The Field and founded Strathcarron & Co. He contributed to motorcycling legislation in Parliament and received recognition for his racing activities. Married four times, he died following a motorcycling accident.
