David Wands is a professor of cosmology at the University of Portsmouth's Institute of Cosmology and Gravitation. He studied at Dr Challoner's Grammar School and Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, focusing on Natural Sciences (Physical) and Mathematics, before earning his PhD from the University of Sussex in 1994. His work includes numerous papers on the physics of the early universe and cosmic structure. Notably, he proposed the curvaton model with David H. Lyth in 2001, contributing to our understanding of primordial fluctuations in spacetime.
