David Seamon (born 14 April 1948) is an American geographer and phenomenologist known for his contributions to architectural phenomenology and environmental design. He has served as a Professor of Environment-Behavior and Place Studies at Kansas State University since 1993. Seamon is the editor of the Environmental and Architectural Phenomenology journal and has authored several influential works, such as 'Life Takes Place: Phenomenology, Lifeworlds and Place Making' (2018) and 'A Geography of the Lifeworld.' His research focuses on placemaking and the relationship between environments and human experiences.
