David Sarser (1921-2013) was an American musician, audio engineer, and electronics designer known for his contributions to music technology and performance. He played violin with the NBC Symphony Orchestra in the 1950s and collaborated with Les Paul in designing the first 8-track recording deck. After his Stradivarius was stolen in 1962, he ceased playing violin. His stolen instrument, a 1735 Lamoureux, is believed to still be in Japan. Sarser passed away on June 6, 2013.
