David Peterson is a Canadian lawyer and politician born on December 28, 1943, in Toronto, Canada. He was active in the Liberal Party of Ontario and served as the Leader of the Opposition from February 21, 1982, to June 26, 1985. He was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the London Centre electoral district from September 18, 1975, to September 6, 1990. Peterson also held the position of Premier of Ontario from June 26, 1985, to October 1, 1990.
