David Mukuba Gitari was a prominent Kenyan Anglican archbishop, serving as the third primate and archbishop of the Anglican Church of Kenya from 1997 to 2002 while also holding the position of Bishop of the Diocese of Nairobi. Born on September 16, 1937, he made significant contributions to the church and society during his tenure. He was married to Grace Wanjiru since 1966 and together they had three children. Gitari passed away on September 30, 2013.
