David Leigh Donoho is a professor of statistics at Stanford University and also serves as a professor in the humanities. His work focuses on developing efficient methods for constructing low-dimensional representations of high-dimensional data problems, multiscale geometric analysis, wavelet developments for noise reduction, and compressed sensing. In recognition of his contributions, he received the Shaw Prize in 2013.
