Dankert Freilem is a Norwegian lawyer and journalist born on August 15, 1946, in Bergen. He served as a program secretary at NRK from 1969 to 1988, working in various departments. He founded the Norwegian Helsinki Committee in 1977 and the Norwegian Center for Multicultural Value Creation in 2005. Freilem held key positions in multiple organizations and was politically active in Høyre for over 35 years, including roles as a member of the Buskerud County Council and as a deputy representative to the Storting.
