Daniel Schönbächler, born Martin Schönbächler on March 31, 1942, in Winterthur, Switzerland, was a Swiss Roman Catholic priest and member of the Order of Saint Benedict. He served as the 65th abbot of Disentis Abbey from 2000 until 2012. He was an influential figure within the abbey and contributed significantly to the spiritual life of his community until his passing on August 14, 2023.
