Daniel Quintero Peña is a Mexican architect and politician, born on January 3, 1951, in Culiacán, Sinaloa. He is a member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). Quintero served as a federal deputy and as the mayor of Ensenada, Baja California. In 1994, he was elected as a federal deputy for Baja California's III District, and in 1998, he became the mayor of Ensenada. He candidated for governor of Baja California in 2001 but was defeated. In 2006, he also ran for federal deputy but did not succeed.
