Cornelis van der Matten (1912-1988) was a Dutch resistance fighter known for his activities during World War II. Originating from Dordrecht, he relocated to Gouda to avoid capture by the Germans. His wife, Meyntje, and sister-in-law, Jannegje Kijkuit, were also involved in resistance efforts, particularly in aiding Jews. He played a crucial role in the illegal press and the resistance group TROUW, where he organized work and distributed publications in the Rotterdam and Gouda regions. He was honored with a Yad Vashem award.
