Claude Contamine was a prominent French civil servant known for his significant contributions to the broadcasting sector. He served as the Deputy General Director of the ORTF and as the director of television from 1964 to 1967 and again from 1973 to 1974. He was the president of France Régions 3 from 1975 to 1981. After being removed from his position during a leftist government, he became the chairman and CEO of Antenne 2 from 1986 to 1989. He was born on August 29, 1929, in Metz and passed away on July 28, 2017, in Audierne.
