Clas-Olof Selenius was a Finnish mathematician and science historian born on September 28, 1922, in Helsingfors. He obtained a PhD in 1961, focusing on the construction and theory of semi-regular continued fractions. Selenius served as a lecturer at Uppsala and an associate professor of mathematical didactics at Åbo Akademi from 1975 to 1979. His research interests included number theory, ancient Indian mathematics, and Swedish history. Additionally, he was active in the Federation of Finnish-Swedes in Sweden and participated in amateur theater in his native region.
