Christopher Rush (born 23 November 1944) is a Scottish author known for his contributions to literature, including notable works such as A Twelvemonth and a Day and To Travel Hopefully. A former literature teacher in Edinburgh, he sparked literary discussions with his opinions on poetry in Scotland. His writing has inspired adaptations, including the film Venus Peter, and his 2007 biography of Shakespeare is set for a movie adaptation. Rush has also published a memoir and continues to engage with literary themes, living near his childhood home.
