Christian Kettel Thomsen, born on August 23, 1959, is a Danish economist and currently serves as the director of Danmarks Nationalbank since February 2023. He previously held the position of department head in the Ministry of Finance from 2005 to 2010 and in the Prime Minister's Office from 2010 to 2020, succeeding Karsten Dybvad in both roles. In January 2020, he was nominated for the position of vice president at the European Investment Bank starting August 1, 2020, and he remained in the Ministry of Business until his appointment to the bank.
