A founding member of Jet, he has received considerable recognition for his songwriting, winning awards from the Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA). Notably, he was named Songwriter of the Year in 2005 and received accolades in 2011 for the song 'Seventeen', which won the awards for Most Played Australian Work and Rock Work of the Year.
