He began his career in 1955 with Lan Kwong Film Co and has appeared in over 85 films, including notable works like 'Broken Zither Bower' and 'Flying Tigers.' Chow also served as chair of the South China Film Industry Workers Union for three years until 2005. After his film career waned in the early 1980s, he became a manager at a Chinese theater before joining TVB. He received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016.
