Chōkichi Maeda was a Japanese jockey born on February 23, 1923, hailing from Kizukawa village in Aomori Prefecture. He was affiliated with the Ogata Keizō stable in Tokyo. At the young age of 20 years and 3 months, he became the youngest winner of the prestigious Tokyo Yushun, now known as the Japanese Derby. Maeda passed away on February 28, 1946. He has relatives residing in Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture, and Arakawa, Tokyo.
