Chin-gyun Kim (November 20, 1937 – February 14, 2004) was a South Korean sociologist from Jinju. He graduated from Seoul National University and served as a professor at the same institution. Kim was a pioneering socialist, involved in establishing the Industrial Society Research Association and held various leadership roles, including as a representative for the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and co-chair of the National Professors' Association for Democratization. He passed away at the age of 68 due to colon cancer.
