Chihei Nakamura was a Japanese novelist and banker, born on February 7, 1908, in Miyazaki Prefecture. He served as the director of the Miyazaki Prefectural Library and was the president of the Miyazaki Mutual Bank. Nakamura was a proponent of southern literature, which he cultivated through his admiration for the southern landscapes. His pen name, Chihei, trails behind his real name, Nakamuura Jihei. He passed away on February 26, 1963.
