Mary Chi-yun Eskelund Nyvig, born Fei, was a Chinese-Danish author born on August 16, 1918, in Peking. She was married to writer and journalist Karl Eskelund and had a daughter, Mei Mei Eskelund, a model. They divorced in the late 1960s, after which she published three cookbooks and a memoir about her childhood in Beijing. She also wrote 'Min Casanova', reflecting her life with Eskelund. Later, she married city planner Anders Nyvig. She passed away on November 11, 2000.
