Chi-yŏng Song (1916-1989) was a South Korean journalist and literary translator, known for her activism during the Japanese colonial era. She started her career at the Dong-A Ilbo and was involved with the Korean provisional government in Nanjing. Captured in 1944, she served a two-year term in prison. Later, she was sentenced to death during the Minjok Ilbo incident but was released after more than eight years. Involved in legislative work post-1980 coup, she faced criticism for her role in media control during military regimes.
