Chen Qi (1912-2000) was a Chinese art and antiquities collector, known for his traditional cultural education. Born in Fujian, he studied under his grandfather and was well-versed in Confucian classics and calligraphy. In 1932, he traveled to Japan, where he attended the Imperial Japanese Army Academy and met his future wife. He formed a friendship with painter Fu Baoshi, attending his first exhibition in China. He styled himself 'Cangquan' and 'Yuquanshanren' and passed away in 2000.
