Born on July 3, 1903, he served as the chaplain of Lycée Thiers in Marseille and was a disciple of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. His philosophical essay 'Dieu demain' won the Montyon Prize from the Académie française in 1973. Combaluzier passed away on November 22, 1991, in Marseille and is buried in Vaugines, Vaucluse.
