Chang Chun-hung is a Taiwanese businessman and politician associated with the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP). Born on May 17, 1938, in Nantou, Taiwan, he was one of the eight dissidents ('Eight of Kaohsiung') imprisoned after the Kaohsiung Incident in 1979 during the Kuomintang's one-party dictatorship. Chang co-founded and served as the long-time director of Formosa TV. In 2012, he was sentenced to nine years in prison for embezzlement, which was reduced to two years and seven months upon appeal in March 2014.
