cEvin Key, pronounced like 'Kevin', is the artist name of Kevin Crompton, born on February 13, 1961. He is renowned for co-founding the Canadian band Skinny Puppy in 1983. Previously, Key was a drummer and songwriter for the synth-pop group Images In Vogue. During the early 1990s, while Skinny Puppy disbanded, he created the project Download in 1994. He also runs the indie label Subconscious Communications, established in 1995. Key has collaborated on various projects including The Tear Garden and Cyberaktif, and has released solo works like 'Music For Cats'.
