Celia Rivas Casais was a pioneering Galician entrepreneur, born on October 26, 1912, in Lugar de Calcova, Finisterre. She was recognized as the first female truck driver in Spain and co-founded the company Hijos de Joaquín Rivas, focused on fish and seafood commercialization. Notably, she may have been the first European woman to serve as a transport driver in a military conflict. Her life inspired several books, including a novel published in 2009 and was featured in literature that highlights influential women in Galicia's history. Rivas passed away on August 21, 1974.
