Celestino 'Tino' Mancao Tugot was a prominent Filipino professional golfer, born on April 6, 1910, and passed away on January 18, 2010. He is celebrated as one of the finest golfers from the Philippines and notably became the first Filipino athlete to meet a sitting U.S. President, Dwight D. Eisenhower, at the White House in 1954. Tugot secured the national open title six times from 1949 to 1962, with a remarkable streak of four consecutive victories starting in 1955, and represented the Philippines at the World Cup ten times.
