She passed away on July 18, 1996, in Bat Yam, Tel Aviv District, Israel. Dinere was also noted for being the mother of the Latvian painter Līlija Dinere. Her contributions to literature reflect the cultural and historical milieu of her time, and she holds an important place in the Latvian literary tradition.
