Cecilia Akua Edu is a notable Ghanaian politician who represented the Abura/Asebu/Kwamankese constituency in the first parliament of Ghana's fourth republic. She was a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). After serving her term, Cecilia lost her candidacy to J.E. Afful from her party in the 1996 elections. In that election, she competed against candidates from the National Patriotic Party and the Convention People's Party. J.E. Afful ultimately won the election with 44.10% of the votes.
