Cecil Allen Null was an American songwriter born on April 26, 1927. He began his songwriting career in the Navy during World War II and later performed on radio in Bristol, Virginia. He gained fame for his songs 'I Forgot More Than You'll Ever Know' and 'I Found Out More Than You Ever Knew', which were hits in 1953. Both songs reached the top ten of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. In addition to songwriting, Null also became skilled in playing and designing autoharps.
